Professor Xian Wang is the head the Department of Medical Oncology, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Medical School of Zhejiang University. She completed her medical training including residency and fellowship from 1989 to 2001 at the 2^nd hospital, Medical School of Zhejiang University, got her PhD degree at University of Karlsruhe, Germany and received her postdoctoral training from 2005 to 2009 at Cancer Center, Chinese University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. Since 2009, she has joined in the department of Medical Oncology, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Medical School of Zhejiang University.

Prof. Dr. Wang has focused her basic research on the epigenetic contribution to cancer development and progression, which was well-supported by natural science foundation of China (NSFC). In addition, she was actively involved in more than 100 international multi-center clinical trials such as DESTINY-Breast trials. Over the years, she has published more than 100 papers in well-recognized SCI journals like Nature Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Blood.
